Completely stuck

As I have exhausted all angles of attack that I can think of, I'd be grateful for any (cryptic) hint.

I tried removing certain letters, removing the other letters, following certain letter sequences, cross-referencing pairs of same letters as well as pairs of consecutive letters from the presumed keyword, and generally drawing lines all over the grid until I couldn't any longer see the forest for the trees. I have even looked at all the hints provided by the website, but they didn't help me. I'm completely stuck.

I'm also still stuck here. I've got the basic idea but still am unable to make a useful word out of it. Two questions remain:

Given that the cross is the origin, can we discard the leftmost row and lower column assuming they're coordinate 0?

how to pair up the letters and convert them to coordinates? My thought was just pairs of consecutive letters, A=1, b=2, etc... Trying this out didn't get me anywhere.

Hey deadman,

What approaches have you already tried here/what direction are you thinking? The hints on the site helped me figure out the approach, maybe I can nudge you in the right direction.

Hi Alex. Assuming you've read the entire thread:

- you don't need to delete anything from the grid, you need to 'select' some letters, which form a word
- which letters to select can be found by 'pairing up' "no censorship" some way into coordinates related to the grid on the right page.
- don't overthink things here, no need to convert anything to numbers, just try the first thing coming up in your mind.

WARNING! Following spoiler practically spells out the solution

each pair of consecutive letters (n,o  c,e  n,s ...) is a coordinate. Now look for the + in the grid and you've found the origin of both axes, aka the coordinate system you can use to translate each coordinate (2 letters) to 1 letter
